New home learning resources

We’ve just added the following packs and lesson plans to our Coronavirus Hub:

'Staying friends': Relationships Education home learning lesson (KS2):
This new lesson will help your pupils to identify different types of friendship, understand what makes a good friend, and gain strategies for solving arguments and maintaining good friendships.

Careers education: opportunities, strengths & managing online presence (Yr9-11):
Use this pack of home learning lesson plans to support your students to demonstrate their personal strengths online, understand the importance of maintaining a positive online reputation and consider and how this can help them to secure future employment.

Healthy sleep habits (KS1-4):
we’ve now added a new KS1 lesson to our popular ‘Sleep Factor’ home learning pack. This pack explores the importance of bedtime routines and equips pupils with actions they can take to improve their sleep habits. Standard versions of the sleep factor materials are also available for classroom teaching.

Water safety: canals and rivers (KS2):
This home learning lesson plan has been adapted from our collaboration with the Environment Agency. It will help your pupils to identify and explain hazards, and know what to do in an emergency.

New ‘Ask a Subject Specialist’ video episode

We’ve just released a new episode of ‘Ask a Subject Specialist’ — our popular video series where members of our Subject Specialist team answer your most pressing PSHE queries. In this episode, Anne Bell covers questions on: age appropriate RSE, addressing pornography appropriately through PSHE education and managing a situation where a colleague doesn’t want to teach RSE.
