We strongly condemn the racism faced by Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka after last night's game. It is appalling, and has no place in sport or in society. Instead we should all join in celebration of their achievements and attitudes, both on and off the field, and the inspiration they provide to others.
It is also another reminder that there is much work still much to do to tackle racism and discrimination, and the importance schools and education — including PSHE education — must play in helping to do so. We have been working as an organisation to do more in this area, but realise there is much more to do to meet this challenge. Such incidents as these only serve to inspire us and others to do so.
